제4차 로잔대회 개최에 대한 한국복음주의협의회의 지지와 요청
한국복음주의협의회(이후 한복협)는 2024년 9월 22~28일에 열리는 제4차 로잔 서울·인천대회 개최에 대해 기본적으로 지지하는 입장을 가지고 있다. 1974년 7월 제 1회 로잔대회 이후 로잔세계복음화운동(이후 로잔운동)은 반세기 넘는 기간 동안 전 세계의 복음화 및 건전한 복음주의운동, 그리고 한국교회 및 한국사회의 발전에 큰 영향력을 끼쳐왔음을 인정한다. 이러한 상황에서 한복협은 로잔대회가 2024년 9월 대한민국 송도를 중심으로 개최되는 것을 기쁘게 생각하며, 특히 개혁주의 전통을 가진 분들 중에서 제기되는 다양한 신학적 염려들을 전달하고, 그것들이 해결되기를 기대한다.
1. 먼저 한복협은 1974년 7월 열린 제 1차 로잔세계복음화대회가 1910년 에딘버러 선교대회를 계승하며, 이를 통해 전세계를 예수 그리스도의 복음으로 이끌고자 함을 인정하고 지지한다. 특별히 우리가 로잔운동의 가치를 높게 평가하는 부분은 이 운동이 극단적 분리주의를 반대하면서도 무조건적 연합운동으로 다양한 신앙적, 신학적 문제를 배출하고 있는 WCC 에큐메니칼 선교운동에 분명한 반대의 입장을 갖고 있다는 점이다. WCC는 1948년 출발부터 이념을 뛰어넘는다는 미명 아래 공산주의에 대해 유화적이었으며, 그 외에도 다양한 무신론적, 자유주의 신학적, 종교 다원적 모습을 드러내왔다. 그리고 한복협은 이러한 WCC의 비성경적 모습에 반대하면서 이에 대항하는 건전한 신학을 로잔대회에 기대한다.
2. 한복협은 로잔운동이 전개하고 있는 교회의 선교 전통을 지지하며, 성경을 영감된 오류 없는 정확 무오한 하나님의 말씀으로 믿는 기본적 신앙과 신학을 환영한다. 우리는 이러한 신앙과 신학에 대해 1974년 로잔언약, 1989년 마닐라선언, 2010년 케이프타운서약 등에서 확인되어 왔음을 알고 있다. 특별히 이러한 입장을 따라 2024년 9월 제4차 로잔대회 역시 포스트모더니즘 및 구원을 쉽게 다루는 종교다원주의의 착각을 버리고, 지속적으로 성경의 무오성, 예수 그리스도의 유일성을 강조해주기 바라며, 성경에서 나타난 하나님의 창조 질서에 따른 성 정체성의 확립 및 가족관을 천명해주기 바란다.
3. 한복협은 이번 한국에서 개최되는 로잔운동을 통해 성령운동이 다시 한 번 이 땅과 전세계에 이루어지기를 희망한다. 기독교 신앙이 거절되고, 교회의 존재가 부정되는 혼란한 현대사회 안에서 다시 한 번 성령께서 역사하시는 거룩한 복음의 운동이 시작되어 현대교회의 새로운 부흥이 준비되기를 기원한다. 이에 한국교회는 로잔운동에 대한 무조건적 비판이나 비난보다 얼마만큼 건전한 종교개혁의 전통과 18세기 부흥운동에 기초한 복음주의를 기반으로 진행되는지 지켜보고 이에 대한 건전한 칭찬과 비판을 전할 수 있기를 바란다.
4. 한복협은 마지막으로 다음과 같은 염려의 사항들도 전달하며, 결코 이것이 문제가 되지 않기를 강력하게 요청한다.
1) 먼저 이번 로잔대회는 결코 복음전도를 사회적 운동으로 변질시키려는 일부의 시도에 늘 주의해주길 바란다.
2) 이번 로잔대회는 성소수자의 욕망 주장과 인권의 가치를 구별 못하는 차별금지법의 일부 내용에 대해 분명한 반대 입장을 제시하고, 이를 국제 로잔대회의 각 상황에서도 분명히 해주길 바란다.
3) 이번 로잔대회는 외부로부터 제기되고 있는 사회주의자들과의 협력, 신사도운동과 유사한 성령운동, 종교다원주의적 신학에 대한 의심 등을 확실히 해소할 수 있는 선포와 논의를 진행해주기 바란다.
한복협은 로잔세계복음화운동 50주년을 맞는 지금 제4차 로잔세계복음화대회가 한국에서 개최되는 것을 기본적으로 환영한다. 로잔대회 관계자들은 반드시 여러 가지 염려들을 고려하면서 이번 대회를 진행함으로써 위기에 빠진 한국교회 및 전 세계의 복음화 운동의 새로운 전기를 마련해주기 바란다. 삼위일체되신 하나님께서 로잔대회의 모든 진행상황과 함께 하시길 기원한다.

Statement of Support and Appeal of the
Korean Evangelical Fellowship for the 4th Lausanne Congress
The Korean Evangelical Fellowship(hereafter KEF) is basically supportive of the hosting of the 4th Lausanne Seoul-Incheon Congress on September 22-28, 2024.
Since the first Lausanne Congress in July 1974, the Lausanne World Evangelization Movement(hereafter the Lausanne Movement)has had a great influence on the evangelization and sound evangelical movements around the world, as well as the development of the Korean church and Korean society for more than half a century. In this situation, the KEF is grateful that the Lausanne Congress will be held in Songdo, Korea in September 2024, to discuss various theological concerns that are still raised among the Evangelical community, especially reformist traditions that hope for sound biblical solutions.
1. First of all, the KEF recognizes and acknowledges that the first Lausanne International Congress on World Evangelization held in July 1974 successfully inherited and effectively continued the 1910 Edinburgh Mission Conference to lead the world to the gospel of Jesus Christ. We particularly value the Lausanne Movement because it has a distinct platform compared to the WCC Ecumenical Missionary Movement, which objects to extreme separatism but produces a variety of religious and theological problems as an unconditional coalition movement. Since its inception in 1948, the WCC has been conciliatory about Communism under the guise of transcending ideology, and has also revealed various atheistic, liberal theology, and religious pluralism. And while distinguishing itself from this non-biblical aspect of the WCC, the KEF anticipates sound theology in the Lausanne Congress.
2. KEF supports the church's missionary tradition, which is being developed by the Lausanne Movement, and welcomes basic beliefs and theology that believe in the Bible as the inspired, true, and exact Word of God without errors. We affirm that these beliefs and theology have been confirmed in the 1974 Lausanne Covenant, the 1989 Manila Declaration, and the 2010 CapeTown Covenant. In particular, we hope that the 4th Lausanne Congress in September 2024 will also reject the illusion of religious pluralism that subtly advocates for postmodernism and salvation, emphasizes the immotality of the Bible and the uniqueness of Jesus Christ, and proclaims the establishment of gender identity and family view according to the God's creative order in the Bible.
3. KEF hopes that the Holy Spirit Movement will take place in this land and around the world once again through the Lausanne Movement held in Korea. In a chaotic modern society where Christian beliefs are rejected and the biblical existence of the church is denied, we hope that the holy gospel movement of the Holy Spirit will once again begin and prepare for a new revival of the modern church. Therefore, rather than unconditional criticism or criticism of the Lausanne movement, the Korean church hopes to see how much it is based on the tradition of sound religious reform and evangelicalism based on the 18th-century revival movement.
4. Finally, KEF also delivers the following concerns and strongly appeals that this will never be a problem.
1) First of all, seriously consider paying attention constantly to some attempts to turn evangelism into a social movement.
2) This Lausanne Congress should present a clear opposition to some of the anti-discrimination laws that do not distinguish between the claims of sexual minority desire and the value of human rights and make it clear in every aspect of the international Lausanne Congress
3) We hope that this Lausanne Congress will proceed with declarations and discussions that will expose the dangers of cooperating with socialists, ideologies of the New Apostolic reformation, and doubts about religious pluralistic theology.
KEF openly welcomes the 4th Lausanne Movement’s Missions Congress in Korea, which marks the 50th anniversary of the Lausanne Movement. It is our hope that the leadership team of the Lausanne Movement strives to turn this global Congress into a new turning point for the Korean church amid crisis in evangelization and discipleship initiatives and other relevant issues and concerns around the world. May the Triune God guide and lead over the proceedings of the Fourth Lausanne Congress for His glory!
